Cotton jersey (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane content.

One side of the fabric is smooth, while the other has a small looped texture, which adds extra comfort and warmth.

This fabric is ideal for sportswear, casual outfits, hats, sweaters, pants, and childrens clothing.

Jersey is breathable and provides natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton jersey, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the jersey is very stretchy, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip, allowing them to slide easily between the jersey fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size is usually 70/10 or 80/12.
